The ‘Tale by Kandle Light’, a continuation of the popular Windowknocker novels, first debut in volume #9 for September 1995 of the PNT club-fanzine as part of the newsletter’s brand-new ‘Spotlight feature’. The feature’s format was designed to include a new addition/part of the story to each new issue of the fanzine until the story was complete. ‘A Tale..” ran from September 1995 to August of 2001.
I ought to make a note that this particular illustration (and there are many) is from 1995 --4 years away yet before I owned my first computer. Like the newsletter itself, the ‘Tale..’ was typewritten on a Smith Corona that offered only 1 of 3 different type fonts. In order to use a different font you would have to switch out the ‘wheel’. Fancier looking fonts were either drawn or added by using stencil rubs.
