The following are tracks from the original, Jól í Latabć (Christmas in LazyTown) CD that was originally released in 2001 by Ýmsir. For the truly dedicated and informed fan, I doubt very much that I will have to explain just how VERY ULTRA RARE and incredible elusive any of the pre-Nick Jr. series soundtracks are. As Lazy Town’s popularity increases outside of it’s native market, desire for these, and other original Latibćr products and collectibles, continue to climb.

-- Sadly, your probably a lot better off buying up some swamp land in Jersey.

Same as with both the Áfram Latibćr and Glanni Glćpur í Latabć soundtrack albums, Jól í Latabć was available only in Iceland and sold out long ago prior to the LT TV series version debut in 2004. But unlike both of the stage play CDs, Jól had no theater production. Instead it was released as a sort of 'listen along' story accompanied by various holiday tunes --some of which that did go on in fact to eventually find their way into the current television series, along with a few others that certainly should have ... songs like Glanni's (Robbie Rotten) almost near-mournful, ‘Aleinn um jólin’ where all alone on Christmas Eve, a freezing Robbie leaves his lair to spy the warmth and festivities going on at the Mayor’s house. Remember the “Even if I was invited I wouldn’t go! .. Well ... maybe .. I would go...”

The ‘Aleinn um jólin’ song became the direct inspiration behind the image you may notice to your right. I really thought our merry blue elf should just show up and offer him a blanket.

"Awww .. Merry Christmas, Robbie."

NOTICE: A special thank you to Lilja Varickdóttir! You are welcome to save these files to your PC, but I want something to be completely known and understood -- These are my CDs and I spent a considerable amount of time uploading them to my computer, converting them from WMA to MP3 so that you all would be able to play them, and then finally loading each one of them here to my website. I did this because I understand just how very impossible these are to locate otherwise. Please ..if you choose to use any of these files online, my only request is that you give credit where credit is due. This is all that I will ask from any of you and I think it is a more than fair enough petition for me to make.

Jól í Latabć contained 32 total tracks. These include all of the 'speaking' (cast) tracks. Most of these story parts were very small --some as little as only 8 seconds long and so I simply combined those shorter ones with the songs they were applied to which is why you only see 27 listing. I included all of the instrumental/Karaoke versions from this album.
